On Monday the 7th March we had a very special day in school as we celebrated the Chinese New Year (a little early).

We had 5 workshops for the children to attend were they learnt all about different aspects of the Chinese culture. The children had the opportunity to mix with children from different year groups.

The day began with an assembly, Mr Craig read one of the stories explaining how the Chinese New Years were linked with an animal.

Workshop 1 - Cooking and Chinese food.

All the children had the opportunity to sample noodles, stir-fries ( with a variety of sauces).

Whilst some children prepared the food other children played a game using chopsticks, some made up menus using chinese cookery books and others made paper fortune cookies.
