Class 1 children were asked by Miss Lee to investigate the differences between solids and liquids.

They had lots of different solids and liquids to help them identify some of the characteristics of solids and those of liquids.

Unexpected work!

Due to the unusually bad snowy weather our school had to close for 2 days. On returning to school the children in classes 1 & 2 investigated all about snow. They went outside measuring how deep it was, the measured the temperature and looked at weather forecasts to see how much more snow we were going to receive.

They wrote  newspaper reports on the snow. Please read their reports.

Newspaper Reports

Classes 1 & 2 have been learning all about the Romans in their topic lessons. They used the information they have learnt to write newspaper reports in literacy.

Roman Day

Our 3 Roman visitors talking to the children.

In topic lessons lower school children are learning all about the Romans. To help them understand and make their learning more fun we hed a Roman day  in school.

Visitors came to talk about and show the children lots of artefacts from Roman times. The children were given the opportunity to dress in replicate Roman clothing and to handle some Roman artefacts. The children really enjoyed their day.
