 <title>Dance Festival</title>
 <description>On Tuesday the 2nd of March 23 children (8 boys and 15 girls)from our school participated in a dance festival at Newton Aycliffe leisure centre. The children had been attending an after school dance class each Friday, where they choreographed and practised a dance to &#34;Ease on down&#34; which is a modern, motown verison of the &#39;Yellow Brick Road&#39; from the film &#39;The Wizard of Oz&#39;.</description>

 <title>Zoolab</title>
 <description>As part of the year 6 science curriculumn, the children are learning all about habitats and how animals adapt to their surrounding. A lady from &#39;Zoolab&#39; visited our school and brought with her a variety of animals for the children to see (and handle if they wanted to!)</description>

 <title>Chinese New Year</title>
 <description>On Monday the 7th March we had a very special day in school as we celebrated the Chinese New Year (a little early).
We had 5 workshops for the children to attend were they learnt all about different aspects of the Chinese culture. The children had the opportunity to mix with children from different year groups.
The day began with an assembly, Mr Craig read one of the stories explaining how the Chinese New Years were linked with an animal.</description>

 <title>Unexpected work!</title>
 <description>Due to the unusually bad snowy weather our school had to close for 2 days. On returning to school the children in classes 1 &#38;amp; 2 investigated all about snow. They went outside measuring how deep it was, the measured the temperature and looked at weather forecasts to see how much more snow we were going to receive.
They wrote&#38;nbsp; newspaper reports on the snow. Please read their reports.&#38;nbsp;</description>

 <title>Aspects of Christmas</title>
 <description>Our Christmas play this year was called Aspects of Christmas. There were&#38;nbsp;5 main characters in the park talking about their thoughts and memories of Christmas and&#38;nbsp;5 scenes showing various parts of Christmas day. Each class acted a different scene with all the children joining in the songs.</description>
